"Miles" (so named because he is miles and miles from
home) is a beautiful dog. He has a very laid back
personality and takes everything in stride. Miles
competes in Rally and Herding. He is looking for a TD and started agility training this fall. He finished his PT herding title in July 2008 and will be working on his Started title in the future.

OK, so we know he’s not a Border Collie, but he is a big part of our farm. Baron is a rescue Akita obtained from our local animal rescue group, Heart Fur Animals (for more info check out Petfinder.com and use 99737 to search). He was supposed to stay at our house “just for the weekend” in May 2004. Well, we still have him. He turned out to be a wonderful dog and enjoys all the sports the Border Collies participate in. Baron is a great moose dog and does his best to keep the moose out of the hay. He teaches the other dogs to be wary of the wildlife in the area, particularly the moose and porcupines. Baron may come out of retirement soon to try his paw at weight pulling or tracking.
