...About Us...
Catherine has owned and trained dogs, primarily herding breeds,
most of her life. Each summer she attended many of the county fairs in Illinois.  A lot of the fairs had sheepdog trials and Catherine was amazed at the ability of the dogs to move and handle sheep.

Catherine arrived in Delta Junction, Alaska in 2004 and later that year obtained Aurora as a puppy. In 2007 she purchased a small farm and have continued to expand her farming operation. She currently farms over 200 acres of hay and has 60 head of sheep. The flock consists of a variety of hair and wool breeds and market locker lambs and fleeces to handspinners.

Catherine offers grooming, group and individual obedience instruction, herding lessons, and board-in troubleshooting training. Catherine is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Catherine is a member of the Tanana Valley Kennel Club, Alaska Herding Group Club, Border Collie Society of America, American Border Collie Association, Australian Shepherd Club of America and Estrela Mountain Dog Association of America.

Alpenglow Farm & Kennels is looking forward to continued expansion. Future plans include indoor and outdoor dog boarding, indoor cat boarding, and pasture horse boarding. Check back often for updates.
